Amanda Swisten bio
Amanda grew up for the first 14 years in a lovely, quaint little bedroom community in Connecticut. A normal tomboyish and curious child who loved to explore, play with Barbie’s, make sandcastles at the beach, play kickball, and an avid swimmer. She began swimming at the age of 4 and From then on, it was competitive swimming year-round. She swam in meets and competitions up and down the east coast, and broke quite a few records. Her tenacity earned her honors throughout her school years which helped place her in high-honors classes. At age 15, Amanda and her family moved to very scenic and beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia for a change of life. She attended a small private school there, where she found it difficult to adjust and fit in. she became shy and a bit of a wallflower with a expressive performer trapped inside. Subsequently, she gets involved in the arts and drama where her shyness dwindles from no acceptance. she used poetry along with her artwork and spending time at the gym to let out the frustrations of everyday life. she later volunteers at the rape crises/sexual assault center for a sense of purpose in her life. She studied drama and became the youngest person to go through this department at the University of Virginia. Amanda went on to working in a gym on her free time, received her aerobics certification and personal training certificate at the age of 16. she also started to model around this time. A scout approached Amanda that summer to go to NYC and give the modeling biz a try. She was Unable to go to NYC for the test pictures, so her mom, who experiments with photography, went on to shot most of her stuff. She was already an awesome artist, so photography was a natural extension of her talents. She put college on hold for a few then returned and attended an interior design school in New York as a correspondent student. She apprenticed as a designer on some major projects and graduated with a certificate in interior design, as well as, a license to practice.
